Hielo andino

In the heart of the Andes lies the Olivares River Valley, surrounded by iconic peaks and ending at Loma Rabona, a zone rich in icefalls that makes it one of the most promising ice climbing areas in Chile. Here, Nico and Isi establish one of the most difficult routes in the country, naming it “Hielo Andino” as a reflection of the essence of technical climbing in the Andes. The climb blends high-difficulty ice climbing, dry tooling, and aid climbing across an ever-changing and unpredictable frozen waterfall.
